Rani Lakshmibai of Veerang, India

 Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi was a Veeranga born on Indian soil. She was the queen of Jhansi state. He ruled over the state of Jhansi. She was the heroine of the 18th Indian Independence War.





Life of Rani Lakshmibai: -Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi was born in Kashi (Varasani). His childhood name was Manikarnika. But in Lad he was called Manu. His father's name was Moropant Tambe. His father was a Maharashtrian Brahmin. His mother Bhagirathibai was a cultured, intelligent and religious woman. When Manu was four years old. Then his mother died. As a child, Manu learned the scriptures as well as the weapons. She was married in the year 19 to Raja Gangadhar Rao Niwalkar of Jhansi. And thus became the queen of Jhansi. After their marriage she was named Lakshmibai. In the year 191, she gave birth to a son. But he died at the age of four months. In the year 19, Raja Gangadhar Rao's health deteriorated. So he was advised to adopt a son. He then adopted a son. Then King Gangadhar Rao died.

    Died November 21, 19. His adopted son was named Damodar.


The Khalsa Policy of the British: - Lord Dalhousie was the Governor General of India at that time. He issued Khalsa policy to grab the states. According to this policy, only the son of the king of that kingdom can inherit the kingdom. The adopted states were usurped by the British. And not allowing the adopted son to inherit. Damodar was also not recognized by the British as the successor of the state. Then Rani Lakshmibai was an English lawyer

Took the advice of John Lag.

And sued in a London court. There were a lot of arguments in this lawsuit. But in the end he was disqualified. The English authorities confiscated the state treasury. His father Trapun was cut off from Rani's Saliyana. At the same time Rani had to leave the fort of Jhansi and stay in Jhansi Ki Rani Mahal. But Rani decided to protect Jhansi at any cost.

   

     Battle of Jhansi: At that time a revolt took place in 1857. Rani Lakshmibai was the leader in that revolt. Became the main center of such a revolt. Where violence broke out. Rani Lakshmibai started strengthening the security of Jhansi. And started organizing a volunteer army. Women were also recruited in this army. They were also given a war test. The general public also cooperated in this war.

    In September and October, the kings of the neighboring states of Orchha and Datia invaded Jhansi. The queen successfully defeated them. In January 1858, the British army started advancing towards Jhansi and laid siege to Jhansi in March. After weeks of fighting, the English army captured the city. But the queen's son Damodar managed to escape from the British. Rani escaped from Jhansi and reached Kalpi and found Tatya Top there.

      Rani Lakshmibai along with Tatya Tope captured the city of Glavier. However, he was defeated by General Napier's British Indian Army at Ranod. Rani Lakshmibai was severely wounded and died in the battle at Glavier.

   




    Before the British reached his body, Tatya Tope met his team and cremated Rani Lakshmibai. Thus Rani Lakshmibai became a Veerangana of India. Still reigns in the hearts of the people
