History of Chhatrapati Shivaji

 Shivaji Chhatrapati was a great Maratha emperor of India. He won many battles and assumed the title of Chhatrapati. He defeated the Mughals. Founded the Maratha Empire.

Shivaji's childhood: -Shivaji was of Bhonsle dynasty of Maratha caste. There is much controversy over the birth of Shivaji. February 19 or April 4 or April 10 is Shivaji's birthday. Shivaji was born in Shivneri district. This Shivneri fort is located 50 km from Pune and 100 km from Mumbai. Shivaji's mother Mataji Jabai had a son's recognition with CY Mataji, hence his name Shivaji.






At the time of Shivaji's birth many Maratha subedars were working in the copper of the Sultanate. Shivaji's father's name was Shahaji. Shahaji died in his youth during the war of his father Maoji. Shivaji then raised his uncle there.

    

    Foundation of the Maharajah: -Shivaji was young. At that time mother Jijabai was handling the manor of Pune. They had a small group of ministers. The group consisted of Shamrao Nilkanth as Peshwa, Bal Krishna Pant as Muzumdar, Raghunath Ballal as Sabnis and Sonopant as Dabir. Military warriors Kanhoji Pant and Baji Pasalkar were stopped for Shivaji's training. Grandpa Kondadev supervised all the training. Father Shahaji built a red palace for Shivaji in Pune. A royal emblem was also made and given to Shivaji. It will grow like the seed moon. Thus began Shivaji's career. After the death of Shahaji, Shivaji was given the title of King.


The plunder of Surat: There was a rift between the Marathas and the Mughals. As part of this rift, Shivaji invaded Surat in the 16th century. On 5 January 19, there was a battle between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the Mughal subedar Inayat Khan, in which the Maratha emperor defeated a relatively small Mughal force. After the battle, Shivaji carried out a historic robbery in Surat city.



    Fight with Inayat Khan: Inayat Khan was the subedar of Adilshah. Inayat Khan promised Adil Shah's mother to behead Shivaji. Inayat Khan captured Tornadevi in ​​the fort of Torn on the Raishwar temple. And persecuted the people there. So Shivaji vowed to free the Goddess of Tor. Shivaji went to Bahurupi Jode and killed Inayat Khan, celebrated Navratri in the temple of Tornadevi in ​​the fort of Torn and freed the people from the tyranny of Inayat Khan.


Assassination of Afzal Khan: - If Adilshah could not make Shivaji a prisoner, he arrested Shivaji's father Shahji. When it was reported, Shivaji freed them with the help of adventure and policy.

Then the ruler of Visapur sent a treacherous general Afzal Khan to kill Shivaji. And the brothers and Mebap made a false play and planned to kill Shivaji while meeting Gare. But Shivaji was very clever and clever. Seeing this, the other soldiers also fled with their tails upright.






    War with the Mughals: - Aurangzeb became very angry with Shivaji's attempts to conquer the Mughal territories. He sent Shaista Khan with huge troops to teach Shivaji a lesson. He conquered the fort of Pune. Shivaji attacked during Shaistakhan's stay in Pune. In which the fingers of his hand were cut off. He managed to escape and fled to Delhi where his son was killed by the military.


  Battle of Sinhagad: -Shivaji attacked the fort of Kandan. Kandan's fort was won in this battle. But his special friend and general Tanaji died. Hearing the news of his death, Shivaji said that the fort had been called Sinhagad ever since "Gadh ala pan singh gola" (the fort came but the lion went).

South Digvijay: -

Shivaji marched to conquer Karnataka in 1677-78. They are the areas of Konkan, south of Mumbai, west of Belgaum and Dhadwad of Tungabhadra river. After capturing Mysore, Vailari, Trichur and Jinji, he died on 4 April 1680.
